I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries lately wanting to shoot at Kā‘anapali, so I wanted to explain this a little better.

We will always say NO to Kā‘anapali Beach.

Unfortunately, professional photography directly in front of the Kā‘anapali hotels is extremely limited and heavily regulated. Between resort property rules, guest privacy, beach traffic, and Hawai’i commercial permit laws, it’s not as simple as just showing up with a camera.

Kā‘anapali Beach is a liability for Photographers.

As photographers here in Hawaii, we have to follow strict permit regulations and respect the areas we work in. I always want to make sure l'm shooting legally, respectfully, and in accordance with Hawaii state law.
